Randall County 24-Hour Release Records
The Randall County Sheriff does not publish a verified rolling 24-hour release feed. Its online inmate search is a current-custody roster. It can help answer whether a person is listed now, but a missing name does not show when the person left or where the person went. Three roster checks made across one day are still three current-custody snapshots. They are not a release log.
The durable source is the jail register and related booking-out file. Texas Local Schedule PS identifies the jail register as a permanent record. Booking, commitment, transfer, and release orders have a minimum retention period measured through release or transfer plus two years. The web display has no published archive or refresh promise, so web visibility and official retention must not be confused.
Check Randall County Same-Day Releases
Define the interval before asking for records. “Today” and “last 24 hours” can produce different results. State both the start and end in Central Time, and ask for existing entries rather than a newly made report. A narrow request is easier for the custodian to identify and preserves the terms recorded by jail staff.
- Check the official current roster once and record the time of the check.
- Set exact start and end timestamps covering the prior 24 hours in Central Time.
- Use the Randall County public information request route or Sheriff Records at 806-468-5800.
- Ask for booking-out, release, and transfer entries within that interval, including disposition, destination, and receiving agency.

Randall County Release Fields
No public Randall County 24-hour feed was found, so no online field set can be claimed. A tailored request should seek the fields that identify the person, establish the end of local custody, and preserve the recorded outcome. Some fields may appear on the booking sheet, release order, or a related file rather than one screen.

Ask for the “release disposition or destination exactly as recorded.” That phrase avoids asking the records officer to decide whether someone went home. A release line and a court judgment answer different questions: the former records the custody event, while the latter supplies the legal case result.

The official fallback is a records request, not an unofficial list. Randall County accepts requests through its public information page, and the Sheriff also provides an online records form. A useful request names the 24-hour interval, asks for existing jail-register and booking-out entries, and asks that transfer events remain labeled. Electronic delivery can reduce paper costs, but the county has published no fixed release-sheet fee or guaranteed response time.
The Public Information Act concerns existing public information. It does not require a custom 24-hour compilation. If staff says the requested output would require a new report, narrow the wording to existing daily logs, jail-register entries, and release or transfer orders. Exempt or protected parts can be withheld or redacted. Court files should go to the clerk for the issuing court, not blindly through the county request form.
Texas IVSS-Counties may supplement the request if Randall appears in its live county selector. It is a notification and status system, not a certified historical release record. TDCJ search tools apply only after a transfer into state custody, not to the ordinary local bond release.
Randall Release or Custody Transfer
A person still shown on Randall County's current roster is listed in local custody at the time the data is served. Someone absent may have left Randall custody, but absence alone does not name the outcome. Bond, personal bond, dismissal, time served, and sentence completion can return a person to the community if no other hold remains. A transfer to Potter County, TDCJ, USMS, or ICE does not.
If the release entry names another custodian, start a new search there. TDCJ's current inmate tool can confirm state intake after data lag. The BOP locator applies after federal designation. ICE ODLS covers current detainees and certain people released from ICE custody within its limited window. For a court order, use the issuing court's docket, while remembering that a court result does not supply the exact jail-door time or rule out another hold.
Note: A receiving-agency field is often the key fact that prevents a transfer from being mistaken for freedom from all custody.
Randall Release Data Outlasts Rosters
The public OCV tool is built around people currently booked. No official source promises how often that display refreshes, how long a departed entry remains visible, or whether the web view and vendor feed will always be available at the same time. A past vendor notice even directed users to the app while public inmate data could still appear through another route. Availability is therefore not the same as completeness.
The official records last much longer. Texas Local Schedule PS classifies the county jail register as permanent and sets a minimum of release or transfer plus two years for the booking and release series. That retention rule does not force the vendor to keep a public archive. It does mean a vanished web entry should lead to a focused custodian request, not a claim that the underlying release record no longer exists.
Randall County Bond Releases
Randall County's arrest guide distinguishes a cash bond from a bondsman's fee. A cash bond is held as security and addressed after the case ends. A bondsman's fee is generally not refundable. Yet payment does not prove that every charge or hold has cleared. The live jail record may show charge-level bond type and amount, and the county maintains a Bail Bond Board, but no official universal bond schedule was found.
Use the actual booking and court records. Ask for the recorded bond type, booking-out time, release disposition, and any other hold. The Randall County Bail Bond Board page provides local board context, but it cannot be used to calculate a release time from a generic table.

Randall Release Roster and App
The official Randall County Sheriff (TX) mobile app is available for iOS and Android. It can display people who are currently booked, photographs, and bail functions. No recent-release mode was verified. Treat the app as another current-custody starting point, not as proof of a same-day release.
Availability may differ between the web view, vendor feed, and app. A vendor notice could direct users to the app while public data still appeared elsewhere. That inconsistency reinforces the need for a durable record. The app's presence does not create a published refresh rate, released-person archive, or guaranteed 24-hour view.

Randall Releases Across County Lines
A local news report from September 2025 described a person bonding out of Randall County custody and entering Potter County custody hours later. The event shows why “released from Randall” must be read as the end of one custodian's control, not an automatic statement that all custody ended.
When the release record names Potter County or another agency, retain that destination and search the receiving system. A charge, warrant, federal hold, or immigration detainer can cause a handoff.
