Randall County VINELink Became IVSS
Texas replaced its legacy county VINE service with Texas IVSS-Counties on September 1, 2025. Existing registrations migrated, notices began arriving from a different provider, and users were asked to update passwords. The old VINELink name remains a common search phrase, but it is no longer the correct Texas county portal name.
The Texas IVSS-Counties portal can support booking and release events, court events, death, escape, and transfer to TDCJ. The state warns that not all counties participate. Static official material did not independently confirm Randall County participation, so check the live county selector. If Randall is missing, call IVSS support at 866-268-8959 and use the Sheriff records route.
Search Randall County IVSS Records
Search access does not require alert registration. Use only the identity fields shown by the live portal, then compare the result with a booking number, case number, date of birth, or charge when lawfully available. Similar names are common. Read the custody event exactly as displayed. A transfer is not release home.
- Open IVSS-Counties and inspect the current county selector.

A no-result can mean the name differs, the portal does not retain the event, Randall is not participating, or the person belongs to another system. It cannot establish release by itself. Portal labels and retention can change. No official static page documented a fixed released-result label or how long such a result remains searchable. Do not expect an indefinite history. The live display controls, while the source record remains with the responsible agency.
Save the time of the search as well as the event time. If an alert and jail record differ, compare the booking number, event type, and timezone before calling either one wrong. Ask IVSS support about the notification record and ask the jail about the custody record. The two systems can record different operational steps. Only the custodian can certify its release or transfer entry.

Register Randall County Release Alerts
Registration follows the current IVSS interface. It can use telephone, text, or email, with event and schedule preferences such as blackout hours. Save the confirmation and keep account contact details current. An alert that cannot reach an old number does not prove that no event happened.

Choose more than one delivery channel when the portal permits it, then review blackout hours so an expected notice is not merely delayed. Keep the confirmation with the matched booking or case identifier. If a person moves to TDCJ, county and state alerts may not carry forward as one subscription. Register in the proper state portal and retain both confirmations during the handoff.
Texas IVSS Migration for Randall

Users with a legacy registration should verify that the migrated account opens, that contact destinations remain correct, and that the selected person still matches. A fresh search is prudent because county participation and displayed data can change. IVSS is a safety and status tool, not a public archive promised to retain every old release.
Messages from a new provider may look unfamiliar after the migration. Compare them with the official account and portal rather than following an unverified message link. Update a password through the official service. If an old registration cannot be found, contact support and create the current registration only after matching the correct person.
Randall County and TDCJ Alerts
County jail and state prison notifications are separate. IVSS-Counties addresses participating county booking, release, and related events. TDCJ IVSS covers people in TDCJ correctional institutions or on TDCJ parole or mandatory supervision. A routine Randall bond release belongs to the county path, not the state-prison path.
The county record may say transfer to TDCJ before the state search displays the person. Intake and data updates take time. Preserve the Randall transfer line, then search TDCJ with a SID or TDCJ number when available. A TDCJ match means state custody, not release. After state release, use the Parole Division and TDCJ IVSS for supervision or discharge questions.
Use TDCJ IVSS for state release or discharge, parole eligibility and decisions, bench-warrant movement, and parole-warrant events. TDCJ Victim Services lists 800-848-4284 and victim.svc@tdcj.texas.gov. The TDCJ current-inmate search can show projected and parole-review information while a person remains incarcerated, but it is not a historical list of discharged people.

Randall County IVSS Limits
Notifications can arrive after an event, and the portal does not replace direct safety planning or emergency services. Do not rely on an alert alone to decide that a person is still confined. If timing matters, check with the jail and preserve the official release record.
IVSS does not cover every custody system. A BOP result marked released addresses federal custody only. ICE’s locator can include people released from ICE within the prior 60 days, but not a permanent history. Juvenile information from the Youth Center of the High Plains has stricter confidentiality and must not be pushed through an adult inmate-search path.
If the Randall record names another receiving agency, begin a new check there. County roster disappearance, an IVSS event, and a court order answer different parts of the custody question. Together they can show the event, authority, and next destination without turning an unverified absence into a claim of community release.
The DPS Sex Offender Registry is another narrow system, not a substitute for IVSS. It covers only people with a Chapter 62 registration duty and can show a current photo, address, offense, and supervision-related status. Most released people will not appear. Registry presence does not prove the exact Randall release time, and registry absence is expected for anyone without that duty.
